CROSS AGATE

A cabochon of white agate with an orange-yellow cross pattern, these popular agates from Java, Indonesia are found within geodes.
The distinctive and entirely natural cross-like pattern of cross agate is due to oxide-filled cracks which permeate the geode during its lifespan and is brought out into cabochon form by the skill of the lapidary.
